Achieving for Children is a social enterprise company that provides children’s services in Kingston and Richmond. Balance provides independent travel training support to young disabled people aged 11-19 years on behalf of Achieving for Children.
Balance Community Activities has a site in the grounds of Hampton Court. Stud Nursery is managed by Balance in conjunction with Historic Royal Palaces, providing experience for service users in gardening, woodwork, arts and crafts and outdoor cooking.
Our Employment Teams work in partnership with Job Centre Plus to offer specialist job seeking support for our clients who are in receipt of employment related benefits. This support continues into their paid work where appropriate as we can apply for Access to Work funding for longer term job coaching in the workplace.
Balance provides mental health employment support, funded by Kingston NHS Clinical Commissioning Group and in partnership with Kingston Wellbeing Service.
The Kingston Wellbeing Service is a unique service providing treatments for residents of Kingston aged 18 years and over with drug and alcohol problems as well as ‘talking therapies’ for those with anxiety and depression. Kingston Wellbeing Service is a referral partner for our mental health employment support project.
Kingston Mind provides a range of services to people with support needs due to their mental health.
Royal Borough of Kingston commissions a number of support services from Balance for disabled people living in the borough.
