Balance Supported Living specialises in supporting adults with learning disabilities to live in their own homes within the borough of Kingston.
Our aim is to promote independence, rights and choices with all aspects of a persons daily living needs. Our objective is to support people to realise their potential, their ambitions and to live safe and fulfilling lives.
We currently support over 80 people in a variety of person centred support packages ranging from 2 hrs to 40 hrs a week. We are a well established passionate support team of 35 staff that work all the year round – this includes a 24 hr emergency on call service.
Accessing Our Support/Initial assessment
You can access our support through the Kingston Community Learning Disability Team. Referrals are made directly from this team to Balance.
Based on your assessed needs, we will then support you to create a support plan. This will include an assessment of the your individual health and social support needs and how we can best help meet the outcomes. We will work with you, your family , friends or other professionals to ensure that we provide the appropriate support and that you have the right people working with you.
We review support after six weeks and then six monthly to ensure best practice and quality is being provided by our service.
We strive to ensure and demonstrate that we are meeting individual needs and outcomes as well as supporting a persons overall well being.
